You’re Prime Minister, not the Messiah

Now, I do not mean to be someone who beats the Messiah drum as often as others.? I did become quite bored of the President being anointed by his followers and the media.? But furthermore, it is this lowly writer’s belief that he has been living up to the title that many are trying to bestow.? I would debate this with my good friend and college Professor, who argues that President Obama does not act like this, and it is not his fault that many of his followers treat him like this.

His superciliousness got the best of him during this past visit from Prime Minister Brown.? I was first told about the present situation, and understand how embarrassing it can be to exchange a gift with an acquaintance that is far inferior to what you received.? But according to some of our friends across the pond, they are quite perturbed by our lack of regard for say traditions, honor and pomp and circumstance.? How does our President, who is so fond of arugula and had never adulterated his palate with a simple $2 Yuengling, manage to pull off neanderthallic and quaint simultaneously?? He rebuilt Ionic pillars for a Presidential Nomination speech, but only manages a DVD collection for the Prime Minister… I hope it wasn’t the History Channel’s Revolutionary War special…
